Psychotherapy for Creatives

For creatives who feel stuck, unseen, or creatively drained

As a UKCP-registered clinical psychotherapist with a background in design, media and music, I work with creative professionals who want to understand the emotional roots of their blocks, self‑doubt, and avoidance.

Choose a program from the options below, then get in touch to find out more.

  • For creative paralysis, avoidance, and “stuckness”.

If you’re sitting down to create and feel frozen, distracted, or constantly putting your work off, this package is for you. “Breaking the Block” is a 6-session psychotherapy package that helps you move through the emotional barriers that keep you creatively blocked.

    What we work on:

    • Identifying the emotional drivers of the block (e.g. anxiety, shame, internal criticism)

    • Understanding avoidance patterns and creative resistance cycles

    • Regulating overwhelm and performance pressure

    • Reconnecting with authentic creative impulse

    Structure:

    • 6 sessions (60–90 minutes)

    • Weekly or fortnightly

    • Online or in‑person

    Approach:

Experiential and emotion‑focused work (ISTDP‑informed), helping you move through internal resistance rather than “manage” it cognitively.

    Aims:

To regain creative momentum, reduce avoidance, and experience more fluid, self‑directed creative output.

  • For self‑doubt, imposter syndrome, and fear of exposure

If your inner critic feels louder than your creative voice, and you notice yourself avoiding opportunities because you feel “not good enough,” this package is for you. “Rebuilding Creative Confidence” is an emotionally grounded psychotherapy package that helps you work directly with the roots of self‑doubt and fear of judgment.

    What we work on:

    • Harsh internal critic and perfectionism

    • Fear of visibility, rejection, or failure

    • Comparison and identity insecurity

    • Strengthening a stable internal sense of creative self

    Structure:

    • 6 sessions (60–90 minutes)

    • Weekly

    • Online or in‑person

    Approach:

Depth‑oriented psychotherapy targeting unconscious relational patterns that shape confidence, with active in‑session emotional processing.

    Aims:

To feel more grounded in your creative identity, take greater risks, and engage more openly with your work and audience.

  • For creatives starting, restarting, or pivoting their work

If you’re beginning a new project, returning after a gap, or making a shift in your creative direction, this package is for you. “Creative Reset & Kickstarter” is a focused, psychologically informed psychotherapy package to help you clarify your direction and translate insight into action.

    What we work on:

    • Clarifying creative direction and values

    • Addressing fear of starting, restarting, or being “seen again”

    • Working through ambivalence and internal conflict

    • Building sustainable creative habits without burnout

    Structure:

    • 6 sessions (60–90 minutes)

    • Short‑term, focused intervention

    • Online or in‑person

    Approach:

Integrates exploratory depth work with practical forward movement, helping you move from insight into concrete creative steps.

    Aims:

To leave with renewed clarity, emotional alignment, and a realistic, internally supported path forward for your creative work.

Whether you’re an artist, writer, designer, musician, or creative entrepreneur, this is a space where you can explore what’s underneath the anxiety, criticism, and creative paralysis so you can create more freely and authentically.

Sessions are 60–90 minutes, held online or in‑person, and designed to help you reconnect with your creative impulse while working through the emotional and relational patterns that keep you stuck.
