I want to provide you with the best possible therapy, and one way of doing this is by reviewing video recordings of our assessment and therapy sessions each week.

Why consider video recording?

Video analysis is useful because, as a precise record of what happens in assessment and therapy sessions, it helps me to tailor your sessions more effectively.

What happens with the video recording?

Recordings are stored locally on an encrypted hard drive. Access is by the therapist only, using fingerprint ID. Only the most recent recording is stored - earlier recordings are deleted. The most recent recording will be deleted once your therapy has come to an end.

What are the uses of the recordings that you have the option to consent to?

Therapist Review - The therapist personally reviews the video recording following a session.

Supervisor Review - The therapist shows an excerpt of a video recording to a supervisor or supervision group to gain their input on how better to tailor your treatment.

Teaching Support - The therapist uses an excerpt of a video recording to support the training of other therapists.

It is your choice whether you consent to any or all of the three possible uses of the video recordings. It will not impact on your treatment if you decline recording, or prefer to wait until a later date before deciding.
